I heard an interview with Richard from Richard and Judy fame this week on the Ian Dempsey morning show and he was talking about how he gave up smoking without the use of any smoking ‘aids’. It reminded me that he once had Allen Carr on his show talking about how the method works, so I thought it would be good to share! Also you can read some good testimonials under the clip on You Tube.

Allen Carr on Richard and Judy
October 31, 2008Dangers of Champix
October 30, 2008
The safety of the anti smoking drug, Champix, is being closely monitored by the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) as it is now one of the most commonly complained about drugs in the United States.
Champix is a drug that works directly in the smokers’ brain to easy withdrawal symptoms, but it is now feared that it is linked to phychiatric problems, including suicidal behaviour!
What we don’t understand is why smokers, who want to give up, take another drug into their system when there is a simple guaranteed drug free method of giving up – which is the Allen Carr Easyway clinics. It only takes a day and you get your money back if you are not satisfied – now that’s something Champix doesn’t offer!
3 days after the Quit Smoking Course
October 30, 2008
Its exactly 3 days (72 hours) after the course.
There was 20 people on the course and Susan, our therapist, made everyone of us feel relaxed and comfortable. The course started at 1pm and finished at 6.30pm. The time just flew. I am a non smoker now and it feels brillant. The nicotine monster is well and truly shrunk. I am looking forward to exercising without feeling breathless.
5 days after quitting
October 30, 2008
It’s now 5 days since the course. I feel like a new man. I went for a run last night. I was surprised with the distance I ran and also the fact that I actually felt okay. I used to hate getting up in the morning as a smoker. It was such a struggle. The mornings this week just get better and better. No coughing, no headaches, no stiffness.
2 days to go
October 16, 20082 days to go and I am getting nervous.
I am smoking more and more thinking about it.
Diary of a quitter
October 15, 2008
My name is Mervyn. I am 36 years old, married with 2 young sons. I am a self employed mortgage broker and in the current economic climate I feel worried and under pressure to keep things going. As a result I am smoking between 20 to 30 cigarettes a day.
I felt unwell around a month ago. My GP referred me to Beaumont Hospital for a 24 hour Blood Pressure monitor. They diagnosed me with mild Hypertension. They are reluctant to prescribe medication taking into account my age. I know that this is a direct result of smoking and also lack of exercise.
I am determined to reduce my BP and I have set a target to do so by Christmas. I have given up smoking before through hypnosis, however, I feel I need more help this time. I have heard about “Allen Carr’s Eayway to stop smoking” and I think that this is the help I need.
I am booked into a course on Saturday 18thOctober at 1pm. I understand that it is over 5 hours which gives me the impression that it must me very comprehensive.
I also understand that I have a money back guarantee and also have 2 back up’s available to me within a 3 month period. I obviously intend not to avail of the money back guarantee, otherwise I feel I have wasted my time. My rational is that the price of the course is less then what I would pay for cigarettes in a month.
I have mixed feelings at the moment in the run up to Saturday. I feel happy I have taken this step and I am excited about the potential outcome but I also have feelings of nervousness’ e.g How will I cope not smoking.
Anyway, that’s my thoughts at this point in time.

Reasons To Quit Smoking Before Your Wedding
October 14, 2008
Puffing away in your wedding pictures is not the most romantic image to remember. If you are finding it hard to give up smoking before the big day why not try Allen Carr’s Easyway to stop smoking? It will help you quit and the money you save will help pay for your honeymoon!
Four good reasons you should quit smoking before your wedding day:
0% Sexy
Nobody likes brides sneaking out for fags on their wedding day, let alone pictures with the bride puffing away in them.
No Weight Gain on your Waist:
According to Brenda Sweeney, managing director of the Allen Carr Easyway Clinics in Ireland, Easyway doesn’t affect your weight as long as you follow its instructions correctly. You can stop smoking and your waist will not ‘suffer’.
Weight Gain in Your Pocket!
“It could pay for your honeymoon!” says Sweeney. Quit on time!
Healthier Kids
If you are planning to start a family soon after tying the knot you should seriously consider quit smoking. Smokers are less fertile than non-smokers and they are also more prone to suffer miscarriages. Also, smoking during pregnancy deprives the child from oxygen, conditioning the baby’s growth and making him more likely to suffer from respiratory conditions.
Allen Carr’s Easyway is the world’s most famous and effective method to stop smoking. The clinics have a success rate of over 90% and have a three-month money-back guarantee. His flagship book, ‘The Allen Carr Easyway to give up Smoking’ has sold millions of copies.
In Ireland it is run by Brenda Sweeney, herself once a smoker cured by an Allen Carr clinic in London. She opened her first Clinic in 1998 and since then, some 20,000 people have attended the Irish clinics.
Who Was Allen Carr?
October 13, 2008
Allen Carr became a qualified accountant in 1958. He was successful in his chosen profession, but his hundred-cigarettes-a-day addiction was driving him to despair. In 1983, after countless failed attempts to stop with the aid of the willpower method, he finally discovered what the world had been waiting for – the Easy Way to Stop Smoking. Since leaving accountancy to help cure the world’s smokers, Allen built up a global reputation as a result of the phenomenal success of his method. He is now recognized as the world’s leading expert on helping smokers to quit. Smokers used to have to fly from all over the world to attend his clinic in London; now his network of clinics spans the globe. His organisation, Allen Carr’s Easyway, has clinics in most major cities in more than thirty countries. Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking is now an international bestseller and has been published in over 20 different languages. His second book, The Only Way to Stop Smoking Permanently, is also available. In his third publication, Allen Carr’s Easyweigh to Lose Weight, he applies the same simple logic to weight-loss, so that it becomes easy and enjoyable, as those attending his clinics have discovered. Thousands of smokers have become happy non-smokers easily and painlessly by attending one of Allen Carr’s Easyway clinics, where, with a success rate of more than 90 per cent, Allen Carr’s Easyway guarantees that you will find it easy to quit or your money back.
Sadly Allen Carr died on 29th November 2006.
He was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in the summer of 2006. It seemed probable that the years he spent curing smokers in smoke-filled sessions at his clinics must have contributed to this illness. Allen said “Given that I am informed that I have cured at least 10 million smokers on a conservative estimation, even if that is the case, it’s a price worth paying”.
Before his death Allen remarked “Since I smoked my final cigarette, 23 years ago, I have been the happiest man in the world, I still feel the same way today”.
